What is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search Engine Optimisation is a technical process that we complete behind the scenes on your website. The aim is to help search engines to read your website by making 'key words' and product titles appear highlighted to search engines. This doesn't have to change how your site appears to normal visitors. The result is that more people find your website through search engines.

How and Why Does it Work?

We help search engines to understand what your website is about. If a search engine is certain that it knows what your website is about, it will be confident about directing visitors to your site when they search for something to do with your product(s) or service(s). Your site therefore gets placed higher up in search results.

Why doesn't every website take advantage of Search Engine Optimisation?

Most of the websites that we create do! However, the majority of our competitors don't know how to offer this service. As such, most companies just don't get offered it in the first place. We've spent a great deal of time researching and testing what works best, so we're confident we can drive visitors to your site using SEO.

Can you guarantee that my site will be listed first on Google, Yahoo, etc.?

No. Although we do have a great deal of success in getting our clients onto the first pages of search results for various different search terms. You should be very wary about any company that does promise to get you listed first as no-one can guarantee this.

How much does it cost?

It varies depending on the size of your website, but we charge just a small one off fee (usually in the region of about £300-£500). We charge based on the amount of work involved. Many of our competitors try to charge for this service via an on-going fee. Usually these companies claim that they are resubmitting your website to search engines each month, but resubmitting your website monthly (or annually) to search engines will not improve your listing. We can prove this if you need us to - just ask.

Can you put me in touch with your clients that have taken this service in the past?

Yes, just ask us for details. All of our clients that have taken this service have received a noticeable increase in visitors and sales (where applicable) after signing up for this service.

How long does it take?

Usually the actual process we perform on your site can be completed within a couple of weeks. However, it can take anywhere between 3 and 6 months (and occasionally longer) for search engines to fully include new websites in their listings. If your website already exists and is already listed with search engines then our Search Engine Optimisation process normally 'kicks in' about a month after we implement the changes to your site.
